Black Bears

The black bear is a medium-sized bear species native to North America, known for its adaptability to various habitats, including forests, mountains, and swamps. They have a sleek, black coat, although some individuals may exhibit brown or cinnamon coloration. Black bears are omnivorous, feeding on a diverse diet that includes fruits, nuts, insects, and small mammals. They are generally solitary animals, except for mothers with cubs or during mating season. Black bears are excellent climbers and often seek refuge in trees.
